Égbé do Fεnfɔnúmεfó - Today is the Fεnfɔnúmεfó Community Purification Cycle

𞤊𞤯𞤲𞤣𞤽𞤲𞤵𞥊𞥅𞤥𞤯𞤬𞤮𞥊𞥅 Fεnfɔnúmεfó is a specially designed calendar observance with rituals designed to spiritual cleanse and uplift the 𞤢𞤻𞤯 acɛ̀ of the community in general. It is a time when those properly trained in spiritual engagement, identify various spirits affecting the community and remove them. It is a day for defensive and divine law justified offensive ritual towards that which is designed to cause disruption. It is also the cyclical period of community cleansing. The primary deities we focus on are 𞤝𞤯߯𞤾𞤭𞤮𞤧𞤮  Xɛ́vioso, 𞤅𞤢𞥂𞤢𞥉𞤼𞤢𞥉 Sakpátá, 𞤀𞤴𞤭𞥊𞥁𞤢𞤲 Ayìzan, and 𞤐𞤢𞤲𞤢 𞤄𞤵𞤤𞤵𞤳𞤵𞥊𞥅 Nana Bulukú.

This is an every 9-day ritual done whereas the goal is to accumulate spiritual pressure to obtain eventual results. This ceremony is also designed to restore and awaken the proper productive energy of the community. This is a day to cleanse and reflect on that which causes us blockage and work on ways to overcome such.

The rituals are done by the priesthood and their assistants on every 𞤸𞤯𞤲𞤣𞤮𞤱𞤢𞥉 𞤄𞤢 𞤀𞥁𞤢𞤲 Hɛndowá Gba Azan. This cycle is divinely chosen because it is believed that the more we are able to cleanse the community collective the better we are able to carry out our individual and collective hɛndowá (destiny). Though the priests are in charge of the primary ceremonies, the community is encouraged to be involved. When not able to attend, we can instruct you on what you can personally do on this day.

The Gba Azan chant for this Gba Azan (1 of the days of the special sacred 9-day week) called Hɛndowá is:
